The company was named after the owner’s mother’s pet, Baxter Boo, a black miniature Schnauzer. It was simpler to use the silver version for illustrative purposes, but he is the perfect portrayal of a sophisticated, well-bred dog.

Small But Mighty: Meet a Contender for the World’s Smallest Dog!

An adorable tiny Yorkshire Terrier the size of a can of soda is vying to be named the world’s smallest dog. Little Meysi was one of 5 puppies born in a litter in Jarocin, Poland. During delivery, she was so small that her owner mistook her for a bit of placenta and nearly discarded the tissue before noticing it moving. So far, at three months old, she is 7cm tall (2.75″), 12cm long (about 4.75″) and weighs just 150g – about the same as a hamster.

Meet the Breed: The Pomeranian

It’s been said that people often choose pets that reflect their own personality and even their appearance. I found this to be true with my first exposure to the Pomeranian dog breed. I vividly remember a pretty, petite girl in my neighborhood with lots of honey-colored hair and brown eyes who lived in my neighborhood where I grew up. She had these beautiful little fluffy dogs that matched her hair color perfectly. They made a striking picture as they walked in the sun!
