Feline Friday: Cats in Christmas Trees

cats-new-yearCats will be cats. It really doesn’t matter that I posted a lovely blog outlining the brilliant ways to keep cats safe during the holidays, and especially how to keep them out of trees. I was feeling rather smug that my cats are so well behaved and “trained” only to find Ms. Boo about halfway up my 9′ tree!

So this is a tribute to catitude, specifically Christmas catitude. Ignoring my admonitions to stay out of the the Christmas decor is not advised but, to my knowledge, none of the cats in these random photos were harmed because of their misadventures. Enjoy! Continue reading

Dogs Help Students Deal With Study Stress

dog shopping onlineIf only all my holiday shopping could be as simple as it is to shop here at BaxterBoo: no struggling to find a parking space, no crowds, and no lines!

As I was shopping at the local mall and generally overwhelmed by the mass of holiday shoppers, I was pleased to have a friendly young woman chat with me as she rang up my purchases. I commiserated with her about the stress of dealing with the masses through the holiday season, but she said it was nothing compared to getting through college finals and balancing a job in retail through the busiest time of the year.
